The name SUDA was created from our two names, Sue (SU) and Dave (DA) as a host to the unique and rare Kimberley stone which with its earthy rich colours depicts the Australian landscape.

ZEBRA STONE
 

Every piece of Zebra Rock is individually cut and crafted. The Randford Formation is a freak geological structure in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia. It is situated close to and beneath the waters of Lake Argyle. The formation is host to a number of stone varieties not found elsewhere on earth. Formed some 600 million years ago when Australia was part of a super-continent and animal life had not yet evolved. Most of these stone types have been washed away but some pockets remain.


COWELL JADE

This is another stone we cut and polish . Its colour ranges from black to light green and originates from South Australia.And is of the nephrite variety. Jade is known as 'the Dream Stone'


NZROX and OZROX

These are individually carved Basalt pebbles. The New Zealand pebbles are collected from Birdlings Flat in the South Island, and the Australian Pebbles are collected from throughout Australia. Each carving is unique.


PALM IVORY

We also sell Palm Ivory carved from the Tagua Nut from Ecuador. After a few weeks in the sun the interior of the nut turns to ivory. From this skilful artisans make beautiful carvings.
